JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened lower 0.16% at 5280 this morning trade while investors are awaiting the release of economic data today.
Asian shares got off to a downbeat start on Monday, after weekend Chinese data raised concerns about growth in the world’s second-largest economy, Reuters reported.
Nymex’s crude oil jumped 7.26% to US$48.99 per barrel in Asian trading this morning. Gold also rose 1% to US$1,279.20 per ounce.
Matahari Putra Prima dropped 3.16%, Lippo Karawaci lost 2.2%, United Tractors declined 1.1%, Hanson Internasional fell 1.4%, Garuda Indonesia shed 1.68%, and Visi Media slipped 1.14%. Indosat also dropped 4%.
