JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened lower 1.09% at 4940 this morning, to tracking regional and Wall Street.
Markets in Asia came under heavy selling pressure on the heels of an energy-fueled tumble on Wall Street.
Nymex’s crude oil fell 1.12% to US$84.81 per barrel in Asian trading and gold declined 0.29% to US$1,221.70 per ounce.
At Jakarta bourse, energy stocks such as Energi Mega fell 1%, Elnusa dropped 3.45%, Benakat Integra lost 1.7%, and Sugih Energy slipped 0.24%.
Mining stocks also in red. Aneka Tambang lost 1.96%, Vale Indonesia declined 1.49%, and Timah shed 1.62%.
Coal stocks are remain focus of selling. Adaro Energy dropped 3.07%, Bumi Resources fell 2.68%, Delta Dunia declined 1.5%, and Berau Coal down 0.9%.
Other losers were Astra International (-2.23%), Bumi Serpong Damai (-2.67%), Waskita Karya (-2.37%), and Wijaya Karya (-2.12%).
