JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened lower 0.5% at 5377 this morning, extending yesterday’s losses, to tracking regional markets.

Stocks in Asia slumped on Thursday on the heels of a heavy selloff on Wall Street driven by a sharp decline in tech shares, Reuters reported.

Nymex’s crude oil rose 1.18% to US$49.79 per barrel in Asian trading this morning while gold inched down 0.03% to US$1,196.70 per ounce.

Alam Sutera fell 2.75%, Bumi Resources lost 1.15%, Indofood shed 1.01%, Jababeka slashed 1.24%, and Telkom dropped 1.39%. Other losers were Adhi Karya (-1.45%), Waskita Karya (-1.44%), Wijaya Karya (-1.16%), Global Mediacom (-2.81%), Multipolar (-1.58%), and Matahari Putra Prima (-2.57%).
