JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened lower 0.3% to 5196 this morning to tracking regional markets.
Investors opt to sell blue chip stocks. Bank Negara Indonesia dropped 4%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia declined 1.7%, Bank Mandiri slipped 0.47%, Jasa Marga lost 7.5%, and Indofood slashed 1.06%.
Eagle High Plantation gained 0.48%, Telkom rose 1.05%, Perusahaan Gas Negara advanced 0.93%, and Kalbe Farma added 0.56%.
Foreign investors booked net sell of Rp24.7 billion on Monday (June 1), cutting year to date net buy to Rp7.8 trillion. The May inflation of 0.5% released on Monday (June 1) did not affect the market sentiment as the figure was under the expectation.
