JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened flat this morning, only inched up 0.03% at 5151 while oil dropped 10%.
Nymex’s crude oil dropped 10.17% to US$66.26 per barrel in Asian trading and gold fell 1.84% to US$1,175.50 per ounce.
Bloomberg reported oil is facing its fiercest decline since the financial crisis, and the impact is being felt around the globe.
At Jakarta bourse, investor focused buying contruction stocks. Adhi Karya gained 1.26%, Waskita Karya rose 1.9%, and Wijaya Karya increased 1.83%.
While Aneka Tambang fell 1%, Bumi Resorces lost 1.15%, Vale Indonesia dropped 2.38%, and London Sumatra slashed 1.5%.
Investors concern on economic data, domestic and global, this week. Today, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) will release November’s onflation and export and import data for October.
