JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened flat, only inched up 0.06%, at 4520 this morning. The market will be closed tomorrow (Dec. 24) and Friday (Dec. 25) for celebrating Christmas Day.
Asia shares edged higher on Wednesday following a modest bounce on Wall Street, while the dollar drifted lower and the slump in oil prices paused if only for a day, Reuters reported.
Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.7% to US$36.39 per barrel in Asian trading this morning while gold fell 0.15% to US$1,072.50 per ounce.
Alam Sutera gained 1.17%, Eagle High Plantations rose 2.1%, and Perusahaan Gas Negara increased 2.36%. While Unilever lost 1.89%, Telkom fell 1.28%, Bumi Serpong Damai declined 1.44%, and AKR Corporindo shed 1.41%.
