JAKARTA (Yosefardi) -Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) declined 0.46% to 4,702 this morning, led by blue chips stocks, while most markets in region were in green.
The index gained in opening but then turned to negative territory as investors opted to lock in profits in certain stocks after recent gains.
Astra International fell 0.75%, Alam Sutera shed 1.33%, Bumi Serpong Damai lost 1.24%, Lippo Karawaci reduced 1.48%, Bank Negara Indonesia declined 1.7%, Bumi Resources down 1.89%, Kalbe Farma slipped 0.68%, and Perusahaan Gas Negara dropped 2.54%.
Other losers were Indonesia Air Transport (-3.3%), Cipaganti (-5.1%), Waskita Karya (-1.2%), Wijaya Karya (-1.2%), Multipolar (-1.69%), Bhakti Investama (-1.1%), and Visi Media (-1.3%).
Among gainers were Telkom (+1.29%), Garuda Indonesia (+2%), and Matahari Putra Prima (+0.98%).
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.4% to US$108.05 per barrel in Asian trading this morning.
