JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened down 1.2% at 4,524 this morning to tracking regional and Wall Street markets.
Last Friday, Wall Street ended substantially lower with Dow Jones Industrial Average (DJIA) losing 1.2%, while Nasdaq composite declined 0.39%.
Commodities were also under pressure. Nymex crude oil lost 1% to US$104.75 per barrel, while gold futures collapsed 1.92% to US$1332 per ounce.
In Jakarta bourse, Adaro Energy lost 3%, Astra International fell 2%, Alam Sutera dropped 3%, Bumi Serpong Damai slided 3.7%, Lippo Karawaci dropped 5.34%, Bank Mandiri shed 2%, and Telkom lost 4.3%.
