JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) opened down 0.23% at 4402 Friday (Jan 17) as profit taking hit further after recent gains. Regional markets were also in red.

Nymex’s crude oil inched up 0.06% to US$94.02 per barrel in Asian trading. Gold increased 0.25% to US$1,243.30 per ounce.

Astra International dropped 3.42%, Bumi Serpong Damai declined 1.74%, Adhi Karya fell 1.19%, Wijaya Karya (-1.55%), Pakuwon Jati shed 2.42%, and Berau Coal lost 1.55%.

Among gainers were London Sumatra (+1.3%), Bank Mandiri (+0.87%), and Media Nusantara Citra (+0.82%).
