JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) inched down 0.02% to 5335 at the opening trade this morning, as profit taking cut earlier gain.
Regional markets were mostly in red this morning. After switching between gains and losses, U.S. stocks ended Wednesday’s choppy session essentially flat, marketwatch,com reported.
Investors remained jittery, amid worries about whether Greece and its creditors will reach an agreement to avoid a debt default.
Nymex’s crude oil rose 1.25% to US$49.45 per barrel in Asian trading this morning and gold increased 0.22% to US$1,221.70 per ounce.
Astra Internatinal fell 1.27%, Vale Indonesia declined 1.1%, and Global Mediacom lost 1.97%.
Plantation stocks gained. Astra Agro climbed 1.2%, BW Plantation rose 1.63%, and London Sumatra increased 1.32%.
Bank Mandiri also gained 1.06% and Indosat jumped 3.25%.
