JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) gained 2.92% to 4379 this mid afternoon trade.
Asian shares and currencies were mostly firmer on Monday in the wake of surprisingly weak U.S. jobs numbers that added to the case for the Federal Reserve to keep rates low for longer, Reuters reported.
In Jakarta bourse, banking, property, and construction stocks were the focus of buying. Among banking stocks, Bank Rakya Indonesia hiked 8.88%, Bank Negara Indonesia lifted 6.74%, and Bank Mandiri jumped 6.36%.
Property shares Alam Sutera surged 8.52%, Sentul City gained 5.88%, Bumi Serpong Damai hiked 10.22%, and Lippo Karawaci rose 4.47%.
Among construction stocks, Waskita Karya soared 13.24%, Wijaya Karya jumped 7.3%, and Adhi Karya climbed 6.43%.
Other gainers were Astra International (+3.33%), Borneo Lumbung (+5.49%), Bumi Resources (+3.5%), Jababeka (+4.64%), Kalbe Farma (+4.38%), Telkom (3.5%).
