JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) fell 0.46% to 4,677 this morning as profit taking hit local stocks.

Regional markets were mixed with Japan’s Nikkei falling 1.63% following Wall Street’s fall on Wednesday (August 14).

In Jakarta bourse, Astra International fell 2.2%, Bank Negara Indonesia lost 1.15%, Bumi Serpong Damai declined 0.6%, Kalbe Farma shed 0.67%, London Sumatera dropped 1.74%, and Trada Maritim down 0.7%.

Other losers were Wijaya Karya (-1.14%), Global Mediacom (-1.09%), Hanson International (-1.59%), and Bank Bukopin (-1.49%).

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.29% to US$107.16 per barrel in Asian trading this morning.
