JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.75% to 4,679 on Wednesday (July 17) while regional markets closed mixed.
The IDX composite gained in morning trade, then profit taking hit during afternoon trade. But late buying pushed the index up again.
Property stocks led market’s gain. Lippo Karawaci jumped 5.6%, Bumi Serpong Damai climbed 4%, Sentul City surged 4.26%, Pakuwon Jati rose 3.08%, and Alam Sutera gained 1.3%.
Banking stocks also supported; Bank Rakyat Indonesia (+0.64%), Bank Negara Indonesia (+1.2%), and Bank Mandiri (+0.59%).
Other gainers were Kalbe Farma (+1.38%), Bumi Resources (+1.96%), Adaro Energy (+1.45%), Multipolar (+1.89%), Wijaya Karya (+1.16%), and Media Nusantara Citra (+0.76%).
Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.72% to US$105.24 per barrel. The rupiah was traded flat at Rp10,040 against the US Dollar.
