JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.48% at 4491 Wednesday (Feb 12) inline with regional markets.
Asian shares rallied for a fourth straight session on Wednesday, as upbeat trade data from China and an optimistic economic outlook from Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen whetted investors’ appetite for risk, Reuters reported.
In Jakarta bourse, Astra Internasional gained 1.14%, Sentul City hiked 2.99%, BW Plantation lifted 3.52%, London Sumatra climbed 2.8%, Multipolar rose 1.93%, and Matahari Putra Prima gained 2.66%.
Among losers were Adaro Energy (-0.53%), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (-1.42%), Bumi Serpong Damai (-1.28%), Bumi Resources (-3.49%), Jababeka (-1.74%), and Waskita Karya (-0.8%).
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.64% to US$100.58 per barrel while gold declined 0.26% to US$1,286.40 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp12,115 against the US Dollar.
