JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.4% at 4,423 Friday (Sept 27), but closed off high as profit taking hit.
Regional markets also helped sentiment. Investors responded positively over U.S. jobless claims figures pointing to a improving labor market, reviving expectations of a reduction in U.S. monetary stimulus.
In Jakarta bourse, Astra International gained 1.56%, Bank Negara Indonesia rose 1.18%, Bank Mandiri increased 1.2%, Perusahaan Gas Negara hiked 1.94%, Timah jumped 3.3%, and Telkom up 1.16%.
Other gainers were Indofood (+3.68%), Indofood CBP (+4.4%), and Charoen Pokphand (+1.9%).
Among losers were Borneo Lumbung Energi (-4.17%), Pakuwon Jati (-3.45%), Bumi Resources Minerals (-2%), Adaro Energy (1.09%), and Bumi Resources (-3%).
Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.49% to US$102.53 per barrel. The rupiah strengthened to Rp11,532 against the US Dollar.
