JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.33% to 5277 on Tuesday (Jan 27) but trade was very volatile. The index moved at range of 5243-5277 during the day trading.
Most Asian share markets firmed on Tuesday. The Federal Reserve also starts its first policy meeting of the year, in what is a busy week for earnings, Reuters reported.
Adaro Energy gained 2%, Aneka Tambang rose 3.4%, Bank Negara Indonesia increased 1.64%, Bumi Serpong Damai climbed 1.69%, Bumi Resources hiked 2.06%, and London Sumatra lifted 1.38%.
Other gariners were Adhi Karya (+1.4%), Media Nusantara Citra (+2.14%), Waskita Karya (+4.14%), Wijaya Karya (+2.25%), Pakuwon Jati (+2.07%), and Matahari Putra Prima (+4.23%).
While Astra International fell 2.49%, Bank Danamon lost 2.49%, and Visi Media declined 1.79%.
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.1% to US$45.20 per barrel and gold rose 0.14% to US$1,281.20 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp12,493 against the US dollar.
