JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended lower 0.06% at 5475, reversing earlier gains, as profit taking hit.
Regional markets closed mixed. Japan’s Nikkei share also verage edged down in choppy trade on Tuesday as investors took profits from recent gains.
Alam Sutera lost 3.79%, Bank Negara Indonesia fell 2.55%, Sentul City dropped 6.29%, and Jababeka declined 2.79%. Other losers were Adhi Karya (-1.32%), Media Nusantara Citra (-1.43%), and Pakuwon Jati (-1.85%).
While Astra International gained 1.59%, Bank Tabungan Negara jumped 4.69%, Multipolar rose 1.07%, and Matahari Putra Prima climbed 3.14%.
Nymex’s crude oil fell 1.07% to US$49.23 per barrel while gold rose 0.57% to US$1,220 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp12,962 against the US dollar.
