JAKARTA (Yosefafrdi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended lower 0.94% at 4856 Friday (July 24) following regional markets.

Asian stock markets were rattled Friday by a further deterioration in Chinese manufacturing and cautious earnings outlooks from U.S. companies, AP reported.

Astra Agro dropped 4.08%, Adaro Energy lost 5.88%, Astra International fell 3.27%, Alam Sutera shed 3.74%, Bumi Resources slashed 5.45%, Gudang Garam lost 4.94%, London Sumatera dropped 3.5%, Perusahaan Gas Negara declined 2.96%, and Adhi Karya shed 3.75%.

While Hanson International gained 2.86%, Jasa Marga rose 2.16%, Media Nusantara Citra climbed 4.85%, and Global Mediacom hiked 3.59%.

Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.42% to US$50.45 per barrel while gold fell 1.1% to US$1,081.90 per ounce. The rupiah weakened further to Rp13,448 against the US dollar.
