JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended lower 0.8% at 5404 on Wednesday (March 25) following regional markets.

Asian stocks stalled on Wednesday following declines on Wall Street, while the dollar held on to modest gains after a rise in U.S. inflation, Reuters reported.

Alam Sutera dropped 4.39%, Sentul City lost 5.56%, Adaro Energy shed 1.03%, Bumi Resources slashed 2.25%, BW Plantation fell 4.87%, London Sumatra dropped 5.62%, Perusahaan Gas Negara lost 5%, and Telkom down 1.37%.

While Bank Rakyat Indonesia gained 1.15%, Bank Tabungan Negara rose 3.43%, Mitra Keluarga jumped 5.66%.

Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.76% to US$47.15 per barrel while gold inched up 0.02% to US$1,191.60 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened further to Rp12,932 against the US dollar.
