JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended lower 0.55% at 5187 on Monday (Jan 12) as profit taking hits. While regional markets closed mixed.
Adaro Energy declined 1%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia lost 2.29%, Bank Negara Indonesia fell 1.22%, Bank Mandiri shed 2.7%, and Bumi Serpong Damai slashed 1.28%.
Wijaya Karya fell 2.04%, Multipolar lost 2.55%, Hanson International declined 1.5%, Berau Coal shed 1.3%, and Inovisi dropped 8%.
While BW Plantation gained 1.55%, Trada Maritim jumped 10.92%, Global Mediacom surged 7.79%, Matahari Putra Prima rose 3.09%, and Garuda Indonesia climbed 3.33%.
Nymex’s crude oil dropped 2.46% to US$47.17 per barrel while gold increased 0.58% to US$1,223.10 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened further to Rp12,568 against the US dollar.
