JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 1.02% at 4,699 on Wednesday (August 14) while regional markets closed in mixed.
Japan’s Nikkei gained 1.32% and Korea’s KOSPI rose 0.57%. While Shanghai, Australia’s All ordinaries ended down.
In Jakarta bourse, blue chip stocks led market’s gain. Astra International rose 1.25%, Alam Sutera added 1.25%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia advanced 0.6%, Bank Mandiri gained 2.38%, Kalbe Farma lifted 2.74%, Lippo Karawaci jumped 5.38%, and Telkom climbed 1.71%.
Other gainers were Trada Maritim (+0.7%), Global Mediacom (+1.1%), Multipolar (+5.56%), Hanson International (+1.6%), and Bank Bukopin (+1.5%).
Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.4% to US$106.38 per barrel. The rupiah weakened further to Rp10,297 against the US Dollar.
