JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) closed higher by 1.88% to 4,767 on Tuesday (July 23) in line with gains in regional markets.

Hong Kong’s Hang Seng rose 2.33% and Shanghai increased 1.95%.

In Jakarta bourse, banking and property stocks led the market’s gain. Bank Mandiri surged 5.29%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia jumped 3.8%, and Bank Central Asia gained 3%.

Among property stocks, Alam Sutera Climbed 4%, Bumi Serpong Damai lifted 3.12%, and Lippo Karawaci rose 1.49%.

Other gainers were Astra International (+2.29%), Telkom (+2.13%), Indonesia Air Transport (+15.65%), Cipaganti (+6.78%), and Global Mediacom (+5.38%).

Bucking the trends were Bumi Resources (-1.96%) and Trada Maritim (-0.7%).

Nymex’s crude oil inched up 0.08% to US$107 per barrel. The rupiah dropped to Rp10,222 against the US Dollar.
