JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended up 0.37% to 5,208 on Wednesday (May 22) in line with most markets in regional.

The IDX was hit by profit in early morning trade, then regained but but it closed off high as profit taking emerged again ahead of the closing.

Bank Negara Indonesia increased 0.93%, Alam Sutera climbed 2.78%, Bumi Serpong Damai hiked 1.1%, Lippo Karawaci  lifted 1.3%, Kalbe Farma gained 0.67%, Perusahaan Gas Negara rose 2.42%, Telkom advanced 0.82% and Trada Maritim  increased 0.73%.

Others gainers were Saranacentral Bajatama (+1.82%), Pakuwon Jati (+2.53%), and Newly listed Bank Nationalnobu (24.53%).

Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.9% to US$96.02 per barrel. The rupiah was traded flat at Rp9,765 against the US Dollar.
