JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 1.75% at 4612 Wednesday (November 4) following regional markets.
Japanese stocks rose on Wednesday, buoyed by gains on Wall Street and a strong debut by three Japan Post shares. Rallies in China shares also helped sentiment.
Astra Agro jumped 5%, Adaro Energy rose 2.3%, AKR Corporindo gained 2.56%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia hiked 3.27%, Bank Danamon surged 8.6%, Bank Mandiri lifted 2.8%, and Eagle High Plantation climbed 3.9%.
Other gainers were Gudang Garam (+7.58%), Indofood (+4.7%), Vale Indonesia (+2.98%), Jababeka (+14.4%), Indocement (+6.8%), London Sumatra (+5.26%), Bukit Asam (+4.36%), Semen Indonesia (+3.9%), and United Tractors (+3.68%).
Surya Citra Media also jumped 5.4% and Media Nusantara Citra surged 5.75%.
Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.5% to US$47.65 per barrel while gold rose 0.2% to US$1,116.60 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened further to Rp13,461 against US dollar.
