JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 1.54% to 4321 Monday (December 2) while regional markets closed mixed.
Investors responded positively set of data released by Central Bureau Statistics (BPS) today. Indonesia booked trade surplus of US$42 million in October against deficit of US$803 million in September.
Property stocks led market’s gain. Alam Sutera soared 11.58%, Bumi Serpong Damai jumped 9.63%, and Lippo Karawaci lifted 6.59%.
Other blue chip stocks also gained, Jababeka surged 9.76%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia gained 3.36%, Bank Negara Indonesia rose 3.66%, and BW Plantation hiked 4.69%.
Also gaining were Adhi Karya (+8.12%), Waskita Karya (+5.49%), Wijaya Karya (+8.48%), Charoen Pokphand (+4.4%), and Pakuwon Jati (+6%).
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.46% to US$93.15 per barrel while Gold retreated 0.9% to US$1,239 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp11,946 against the US Dollar.
