JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 1.45% at 5074 Wednesday (October 29) following gains in regional markets.
Asian shares climbed to one-month highs on Wednesday, steered by a robust Wall Street on optimism over corporate earnings and prospects the U.S. Federal Reserve will reaffirm its willingness to wait for an extended period before raising interest rates, Reuters reported.
Adaro Energy jumped 6.8%, Astra International gained 3.38%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia rose 3.1%, BW Plantation hiked 3.77%, London Sumatera lifted 4.16%, Timah surged 4%, and Waskita Karya climbed 3.2%.
Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.45% to US$81.79 per barrel while gold inched down 0.04% to US$1,228.50 per ounce. The rupiah was traded flat at Rp12,163 against the US dollar.
