JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 1.07% at 5141 on Monday (May 4) as investors collected back local stocks after the index lost 6.42% last week. Foreign investors booked net sell of Rp7.09 trillion last week.

Today, Astra International gained 3.65%, Alam Sutera jumped 5.69%, Bank Mandiri surged 3.95%, Bumi Resources hiked 4.2%, Lippo Karawaci soared 10%, and Telkom climbed 5.74%.

Other gainers were Indika Energy (+24.8%), Indocement (+8.57%), and Surya Citra Media (+9.3%).

While Adaro Energy fell 3.43%, BW Plantation lost 2.78%, London Sumatra declined 3.16%, Perusahaan Gas Negara dropped 3.66%, Timah shed 4.9%, Japfa Comfeed lost 4.55%, Waskita Karya fell 4.07%, Pakuwon Jati slashed 4.57%, and Nirvana Development dropped 5.52%.

Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.4% to US$59.39 per barrel and gold increased 0.63% to US$1,181.90 per barrel. The rupiah weakened to Rp13,021 against the US dollar.
