JAKARTA (Indonesia Today) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher by 0.53% at 5,060.92 on Wednesday (May 1) in line with most markets in regional.
Bank Rakyat Indonesia gained 2.66%, Bank Negara Indonesia rose 2.78%, Bank Mandiri increased 0.48%, Alam Sutera jumped 3.81%, Bumi Serpong climbed 3.47%, and Telkom advanced 0.85%.
Other gainers were Wijaya Karya (+3.12%), Waskita Karya (+3.9%), Bumi Resources Minerals (+4.48%), Suparma (+8.06%), Pakuwon Jati (+6.17%), and Kawasan Industri Jababeka (+13.33%).
Nymex’s crude oil fell 0.51% to US$92.98. The rupiah weakened to Rp9,730 against the US Dollar. (hans@theindonesiatoday.com)
