JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.5% at 5289 on Friday (Jan 30) while regional markets closed in mixed.

Asian shares outside Japan edged down but was still on track to gain more than 1% for the month, Reuters reported.

Adaro Energy gained 1.52%, Bumi Resources hiked 2.02%, Astra International rose 1.29%, Bank Negara Indonesia increased 1.63%, Bumi Serpong Damai lifted 1.25%, Indofood climbed 2.37%, and Indo Tambangraya jumped 7%.

Other gainers were Waskita Karya (+2.69%), Wijaya Karya (+1.9%), and Matahari Putra Prima (+5.56%). While Telkom fell 1.05%.

Nymex’s crude oil rose 0.16% to US$44.60 per barrel and gold increased 0.6% to US$1,263.60 per ounce. The rupiah weakened further to Rp12,625 against the US dollar.
