JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.43% at 4720 Monday (March 24) but trade was volatile. The index moved at range of 4695 and 4727.
Asian shares advanced moderately on Monday, choosing to embrace last week’s firm performance by global equity markets while remaining fairly sanguine over the Crimea crisis and China’s slowing growth, Reuters reported.
Nymex’s crude oil inched down 0.04% to US$99.42 per barrel and gold fell 0.82% to US$1,325 per ounce.
In Jakarta bourse, Telkom jumped 3.24%, Timah soared 5.43%, Bank Rakyat Indonesia gained 1.34%, Bank Mandiri rose 1.33%, and Kalbe Farma hiked 1.75%.
Other gainers were Adhi Karya (+2.8%), Waskita Karya (+1.97%), Wijaya Karya (+1.06%), Aneka Tambang (+1.76%), and Pakuwon Jati (+1.42%).
Among losers were Astra International (-1%), Adaro Energy (-1.5%), Indofood (-3.75%), Lippo Karawaci (-1.69%), and Perusahaan Gas Negara (-3.48%).
