JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended flat, up 0.37% to close at 5160, on Tuesday (May 5) as profit taking cut gain in morning trade. The index moved at range of 5130-5202 during the day trading.
Asian stock mostly closed in red on Tuesday on concern over slowing demand from China, Reuters reported.
Astra International gained 2.46%, Adaro Energy rose 2.96%, Bumi Serpong Damai increased 2.38%, Bumi Resources jumped 12%, BW Plantation hiked 2.04%, London Sumatra lifted 1.8%, and Unilever Indonesia climbed 2.73%.
Other gainers were Media Nusantara Citra (+2.89%), Global Mediacom (+2.99%), Waskita Karya (+2.42%), and Bumi Resources Minerals (+3.8%).
While Jababeka lost 1.06%, PT PP fell 2.06%, Bank Tabungan Negara declined 1.78%, Bank Jatim shed 1.47%, and Wijaya Karya dropped 2.86%,
Nymex’s rose 0.73% to US$59.36 per barrel while gold inched down 0.03% to US$1,186.50 per ounce. The rupiah strengthened to Rp12,993 against the US dollar.
