JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 2.25% at 4,460 Tuesday (Sept 24) in line with regional markets.

Among blue chip stocks, Astra International fell 6.57%, Kalbe Farma declined 2.94%, Perusahaan Gas Negara shed 2.75%, Semen Indonesia dropped 4.25%, and Telkom lost 3.3%.

Property stocks also closed in red. Alam Sutera slided 3.1%, Sentul City fell 3.5%, Bumi Serpong Damai dropped 4.46%, and Lippo Karawaci lost 7%.

Other losers were Adhi Karya (-3.45%), Waskita Karya (-4.69%), Wijaya Karya (-2.5%), and Matahari Putra Prima (-4.65%).

Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.26% to US$103.32 per barrel. The rupiah weakened further to Rp11,535 against the US Dollar.
