JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 1.18% at 4,120 on Monday (August 26) while most markets in the region closed in green. Shanghai gained 1.9%.
The IDX composite moved up and down in morning trade, but then turned into negative territory during afternoon session.
Bank Mandiri lost 3.38%, Bank Central Asia declined 2.14%, Kalbe Farma dropped 2.24%, Telkom slipped 0.93%, and Astra International fell 0.85%.
Other losers were Waskita Karya (-6.78%), Wijaya Karya (-4.17%), and Media Nusantara Citra (-4.42%).
While plantation stocks got a boost inline with higher CPO price in the future market. BW Plantation soared 24.19%, Astra Agro jumped 14.38%, London Sumatra surged 13.33%, and Salim Ivomas gained 7.87%. (yohanneso@yosefardi.biz)
