JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended down 0.46% to 4,562 Monday (Sept 23), with late buying helping narrow the index’s loss. Most regional markets also closed in red.
Property stocks led the index’s fall. Alam Sutera dropped 3.03%, Sentul City lost 4.76%, Bumi Serpong Damai down 1.88%, and Lippo Karawaci declined 2.29%.
Other losers were Aneka Tambang (-2.63%), Timah (-5.1%), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (-1.26%), Bank Mandiri (-2.79%), BW Plantation (-3.57%), Kawasan Industri Jababeka (-7.4%), and Telkom (-2.15%).
Bank Tabungan Negara also slided 3.6% and Japfa Comfeed shed 3.29%.
Among gainers were Charoen Pokphand (+7.75%), Hanson International (+4.84%), Visi Media (+8.7%), Bumi Resources Minerals (+20.45%), and Berau Coal (+3.2%).
Nymex’s crude oil inched down 0.05% to US$104.70 per barrel. The rupiah weakened further to Rp11,435 against the US Dollar.
