JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) dropped further 0.64% to 4175 Tuesday (Jan 7), dragged by regional sentiment. IDX lost 1.29% on Monday (Jan 6).

Coal miner Adaro Energy dropped 5.38%, Alam Sutera declined 1.16%, BW Plantation lost 2.3%, Lippo Karawaci fell 1.14%, London Sumatra dropped 6.72%, and Perusahaan Gas Negara shed 2.95%.

Other losers were Adhi Karya (-2.38%), Wijaya Karya (-2.77%), and Matahari Putra Prima (-4.35%). Among gainers were Visi Media (+3.85%), Bumi Resources Minerals (+2.55%), Bank Rakyat Indonesia (+1.07%), Astra International (+1.46%), and Bumi Resources (+8.97%).

Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.32% to US$93.73 per barrel and gold inched up 0.06% to US$1,238.80 per ounce. The rupiah weakened further to Rp12,262 against the US Dollar.
