JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index ended down 0.45% to 4749 on Monday (August 10), but closed off its low. The index moved at range of 4721-4765 during the day trading.
China’s Shanghai Composite index bucked the cautious sentiment across Asia on Monday, surging nearly 5% to end at a two-week high, cnbc.com reported.
Adaro Energy lost 2.59%, Aneka Tambang declined 2.5%, Astra International fell 1.52%, AKR Corporindo shed 2.54%, Bank Negara Indonesia slashed 2.2%, Bank Danamon dropped 2.98%, and Bank Mandiri fell 1.3%.
Other losers were Bumi Serpong Damai (-2.51%), Eagle High Plantation (-4.68%), XL Axiata (-3.55%), Indo Tambangraya (-5.1%), Bukit Asam (-3.23%), Timah (-3.2%), and Multipolar (-3.36%).
Nymex’s crude oil declined 0.27% to US$44.24 per barrel and gold inched down 0.01% at 1,093.70 per ounce. The rupiah was traded flat at Rp13,536 against the US dollar.
