JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher 0.37% at 5439 on Thursday (March 12), but closed off its high as profit taking hit some stocks.
The index moved volatile in the morning trade and made a flat move in the afternoon session. It moved at range of 5417-5449 during the day trading. Regional markets also closed in green.
Adaro Energy gained 1.57%, Aneka Tambang rose 1.55%, Bumi Serpong Damai increased 1.5%, Bank Tabungan Negara hiked 1.3%, Waskita Karya jumped 3.34%, Hanson International lifted 1.97%, and Garuda Indonesia climbed 1%.
While Global Mediacom fell 1.63%, Bank Central Asia declined 0.53%, Vale Indonesia lost 1.35%, Jababeka slipped 0.62%, and Telkom down 0.51%.
Nymex’s crude oil increased 0.54% to US$48.43 per barrel and gold rose 0.69% to US$1,160.30 per ounce. The rupiah weakened slightly to Rp13,176 against the US dollar.
