JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Composite index of the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) ended higher by 0.66% to 5,155.09 on Friday (May 24) while regional markers closed mixed.
However IDX closed off high as profit taking hit certain stocks in afternoon trade.
Astra International gained 2.13%, Telkom rose 0.82%, Perusahaan Gas Negara increased 0.82%, Lippo Karawaci up 0.65%, Kalbe Farma hiked 2.07%, and London Sumatera jumped 5.2%.
Other gainers were Bumi Resources (+2.86%), Bumi Serpong Damai (+0.56%), Bhakti Investama (+3.77%), Adaro Energy (+0.94%), and Matahari Putra Prima (+13.99%).
Nymex’s crude oil inched down 0.08% to US$94.17 per barrel. The rupiah strengthened to Rp9,772 against the US Dollar.
