JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Edhie Baskoro Yudhoyono aka Ibas, the youngest son of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and Secretary General of Democratic Party, has denied the recent accusation made against him by Muhammad Nazaruddin, graft convict and former Treasurer of President SBY’s Democratic Party.
Ibas, in his press release on Wednesday (Mar. 18), stated that Nazaruddin’s accusation is untrue and baseless. Ibas, however, did not reveal that he would, or not, file a police report against Nazaruddin.
Nazaruddin has accused Ibas for receiving money from his company Permai Group. According to Nazaruddin, Ibas delivered the money to the head of each faction at the House of Representatives (DPR), including Marwan Jafar, a PKB politician who is now member of Jokowi-Kalla cabinet.
Nazaruddin said the money was related to the maneuver from political parties to push the DPR to use their right of inquiry into tax cases. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
