JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – PT Humpuss Intermoda TBk (HITS), shipping company controlled by Tommy Soeharto, is seeking loan of US$160 million, equivalent Rp1.8 trillion, used to fund its business expansion this year.
The company is now in talks with some local banks, banks in Asia and Europe. The company plans to invest US$215 million, equivalent Rp2.4 trillion, of which US$32 million will be sourced from the company’s internal cash.
HITS plans to buy 4 new vessels which costs US$115 million and to acquire foreign shipping company engaged in LNG transportation business worth US$50-100 million.
