JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) Setya Novanto assured that the DPR will approve the draft of the 2016 state budget R-APBN) in its plenary session on Friday (Oct. 30).
Talking to the press at the parliament’s building this afternoon (Oct. 28), Novanto, who is a lawmaker from Golkar Party, shared his beliefs that all obstacles hampered the deliberation of the 2016 state budget will be soon addressed before Friday.
He said he has also talked with President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo prior to the President’s visit to United States of America.
The Budget Body of the DPR has earlier, among others, approved a total amount of Rp31.75 trillion of capital injection into State-Owned Enterprises (SOE’s) for 2016.
But should the DPR fail to approve the 2016 state budget draft, then the goverment will be forced to use previous state budget.
