JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The House of Representatives (DPR), in its plenary session on Monday (Feb. 9), has set 159 bills, including the bill of the amendment of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Law, as the 2015-2019 National Legislation Program (Prolegnas).

Firman Soebagyo, the Deputy Head of the House Legislation Body (Baleg), told Kompas.com that DPR will also amend the Law on Prosecutors and the National Police Law.

Firman added that DPR has set 37 out of 159 bills to be prioritized this year.

In a different place, Baleg Head Saan Mustofa, meanwhile, assured that the amendment over the KPK Law will not weaken the KPK.

Instead, he makes sure that the amendment will strengthen the Anti-Graft Agency. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
