JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Marzuki Alie, Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR) and key leader of President SBY’s Democratic Party, has denied allegation of flow of US$1 million money from Permai Group, a company owned by former Democratic Party’s Treasurer Muhammad Nazaruddin.
Permai Group have won many projects tendered by the government.
In a message to Sindonews.com on Monday evening (August 18), the Deputy Chairman of Democratic Party’s Highest Council claimed the allegation against him as the repetition of earlier allegation.
Marzukie said he had clarified the allegation to the investigators of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) in a previous questioning.
KPK’s Spokesperson Johan Budi SP, meanwhile, said the KPK yet to re-summon Marzuki for another questioning following the allegation.
Panel of judges at the Jakarta Corruption Court will decided on whether or not to summon Marzuki to testify in a graft case trial of Hambalang sport center project.
As reported earlier, Yulianis, former Finance Deputy Director of Permai Group, revealed to the court trial of Hambalang case on Monday that Permai Group had delivered US$1 million money to Marzuki Alie by Iwan, a staff of Nazaruddin.
Yulianis was testified at the Monday’s trial as witness for Anas Urbaningrum, former Democratic Party Chairman and the defendant in the case. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
