JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The House of Representatives (DPR) has reportedly demanded the National Police Office to pick up vice president Boediono by force for being questioned for the second time, related to the Rp6.7 trillion Bank Century bailout scandal.
Three of five leaders at the DPR have Thursday (March 6) signed the letter to summon Boediono by force proposed by the House’s Bank Century scandal supervisory team.
That three leaders are Deputy House Speaker Priyo Budi Santoso from Golkar Party, Deputy House Speaker Pramono Anung Wibowo (PDI-P), and Deputy House Speaker Taufik Kurniawan (PAN).
Two other DPR leaders, meanwhile, rejected to sign the letter. They are House Speaker Marzuki Alie (Democratic Party) and Deputy House Speaker Sohibul Iman (PKS).
The letter will soon been sent to Boediono and the National Police.
Boediono had rejected the summon for being testified on February 19, 2014 as, according to the vice president, the case has been the authority of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) as recommended by the House. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
