JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Cement maker PT Holchim Indonesia Tbk (SMCB) builds new cement mill, Tuban 2, with production capacity of 1.75 million tons per year, equal to Tuban 1 capacity.
Construction of Tuban 2 is targeted to complete by second half of 2015. This project will cost US$350 million.
With Tuban 2, Holcim’s cement production capacity will total 12.6 million per year, from current 9.3 million tons.
Holcim is also now building clinker factory, expected to complete in February next year. Holcim now operates cement mills in Narogon with capacity of 5.6 million tons and Cilacap with capacity of 3.4 million tons.
Holcim booked net profit of Rp467 billion in first half of this year on revenues of Rp4.48 trillion.
