JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – The High Court (PT) of Jakarta has today (Jan. 20) dropped heavier jail sentence to the former Head of the Jakarta provincial administration’s department of transportation Udar Pristono from five years to nine years imprisonment.

The Spokesperson of the High Court Jakarta M. Hatta confirmed the Court’s verdict over Udar Pristono.

The High Court’s verdict as well as the lower court’s verdict, however, are still lighter than the Attorney General Office’s (AGO) demands.

Previously, the AGO’s prosecutor team demanded 19 years jail sentence to Udar Pristono. But panel of judges at the Jakarta Corruption Eradication (KPK) only sentenced Udar to five years in prison. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
