JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Heavy equipment sales jumped 50% to 1,853 units in April-June of 2013 period, compared to 1,234 units in previous quarter (January-March).
Heavy equipment sales declined since third quarter of 2012 alongwith the slowdown in mining business due to the drop in coal prices.
But this segment sales had turned around in second quarter of this year as demand of heavy equipment from agriculture, plantation and forestry was growing.
Pratjoto Dewo, chairman of Indonesia Heavy Equipment Association (Hinabi), is optimistic the heavy Equipment sales to reach 6,500-7,000 units this year.
