JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Wiranto, Chairman of Hanura Party, confirmed about the intension of media mogul Hary Tanoesoedibyo to resign in the near future from Hanura party, Kompas.com reported.
Fadli Zon, Deputy Chairman of Gerindra, had earlier noted about the resignation of Hary Tanoe following Hanura’s decision to support the presidential nomination of Joko “Jokowi” Widodo.
Fadli even claimed that Hary Tanoe has supported Prabowo Subianto to run in the presidential election.
Hary Tanoe joined Hanura on Feb 17, 2013, after resigning from Nasdem Party since Jan 21, 2013.
In Hanura, Hary Tanoe serves as Chairman of Hanura’s Supervisory Board and Chairman of Hanura’s Campaign Team for 2014 elections.
Along with Wiranto, Hary was even nominated by Hanura as presidential and vice presidential candidates.
But unfortunately, Hanura only secured 6,579,498 votes or 5.26 percent of total votes of 124,924,491.
As the consequences, Hanura failed to pass presidential threshold of minimum 20 percent national votes to be able to endorse Wiranto and Hary Tanoe as its own presidential pair. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
