JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Chairman of Hanura Party Gen. (ret) Wiranto has kicked off the construction of the Party’s Rp25 billion new headquarters in Cipayung, East Jakarta, on Monday (Dec. 21).

Interestingly, Wiranto gave the honor to former Vice President Gen. (ret) Try Soetrisno to carry out the groundbreaking.

Though neither a cadre nor a leader at the Hanura Party, Try Soetrisno accompanied Wiranto during the latter’s visits to the Ministry of Industry.

Also present in the groundbreaking were, among others, Coordinating Minister for Maritime & Mineral Resources Rizal Ramli, Minister of Industry Saleh Husin, Minister of State Apparatus & Bureaucracy Reform Yuddy Chrisnandy, and Chairman of PPP Romahurmuziy.

Once the construction completed, Hanura Party, one of members of the ruling coalition, will move from its current headquarters in Kebon Melati, Central Jakarta. (haryantosuharman@yosefardi.com)
