JAKARTA (Yosefardi) – Alhabib Munzir Almusawa, a charismatic leader among congregation of Majelis Rasulullah, a possibly the largest Islamic prayer group in Jakarta, died at 40-year-old on Sunday (Sept 15) noon due to asthma-complicated illness.
Munzir’s brother Habib Nabil Almusawa revealed that Munzir died at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) in Salemba, Central Jakarta at around 3:30 pm of Jakarta time. Nabil said the family was shocked with the death because Munzir was perfectly healthy in the morning. He suspected that Munzir’s chronic asthma caused his death.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and First Lady Ani Yudhoyono have also mourned the death of Alhabib Munzir and they were among them who visited the funeral home this morning. (haryantos@yosefardi.biz)
